As the UK government seeks to re-write our laws on Human Rights, and our food system becomes increasingly polarised between Michelin stars and food banks, can we speak of a Right to Food? Join Mags Hall from Common Good Food to discuss a human rights based approach to food, and how it plays a central role in the fight for Food Sovereingty.
Joining us at this event will be Pete Ritchie, organic farmer and director of Nourish Scotland, who are campaiging for the right to food to be enshrined in Scots law; and Kait Laughlin Phd researcher at the University of the West of Scotland, campaigner, and member of the Scottish Parliament cross-party group on human rights.
This is one of a series of four discussions we are hosting at the Edinburgh Food Festival (29th Jul - 2nd Aug)
